1. What this site is

Downdetector App Guide is an independent guide. We explain how to check whether apps, websites, and networks are down, how to read outage reports, and how to fix common problems on your side. We publish general information only.

• We do not show live outage data. For live reports, use Downdetector or the service's own status page.
• We are not the official source for any service we write about. Only the company that runs a service can confirm an outage or tell you when it will be fixed.
• Nothing here is professional advice. It is not technical, financial, legal, or security advice for your situation. For problems with your account, money, or device, contact the company or a qualified professional.

2. Independence and trademarks

Independent guide. Not affiliated with Downdetector or Ookla. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Downdetector, Ookla, Accenture, or any company named on this site.

Downdetector, Speedtest, and every other product name, brand, and logo on this site are trademarks of their owners. We use them only to identify the services we write about, so you can find the right guide. Their use does not mean any company endorses us. Read ourdisclaimer for more.

3. Emergencies

Do not rely on this site in an emergency. If you cannot reach emergency services because of a phone outage, try another phone, a landline, or Wi-Fi calling, and contact your local emergency number by any means you can.

4. The website down checker

The checker tests whether a website answers your own browser, from your own connection. Its results can be affected by your network, your browser and its extensions, your location, and the website's own settings. A result is not proof that a site is up or down for anyone else.

You agree to use the checker only for occasional, personal checks. You may not:

• run it automatically or in bulk, or use scripts or bots to drive it;
• use it to test, load, or attack systems you do not own or have permission to test;
• use it in any way that breaks the law or the terms of the sites you check.

5. Acceptable use of the site

• interfere with the site, overload it, or try to get around its security;
• copy or scrape the site in a way that harms it or its performance;

Outages, apps, and status pages change often. We review our guides and show when each one was last updated, but we cannot promise that every detail is complete or current. Facts about past outages come from public reports by the companies involved, regulators, and news outlets. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.

We may change, add, or remove any part of the site at any time.

8. Links to other sites

We link to Downdetector, official status pages, help centers, app stores, and other sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
